AN AUTUMN AFFAIR
I don’t think that there are too many more enjoyable ways to spend an Autumn Sunday evening than listening to beautiful music played by a group of very accomplished musicians and, on Sunday, April 29th, music lovers will once again have that opportunity when the members of the Bribie Island Orchestra present their Autumn concert in the Bribie Island Retirement Village hall at Foley Street.
The concert will commence at 6.30pm and as always, the evening will feature music by a variety of composers including Handel, Hadyn and Heykens.
Concert-goers will also be treated to a selection of tunes by The Amber Trio, three talented ladies whose performances are consistently well received wherever they perform.
Members of this trio are Pam Bowyer (cello), Pam Handley (violin) and Beryl Meyers (piano) Concerts by the Bribie Island Orchestra are always a much-anticipated event on the calendar and as such are very well attended.
Orchestra Publicity Coordinator Heather White explained that bookings for the concert are essential and anyone who would like to attend should call 5497 5818 to confirm their ticket. ‘This will be a great evening with beautiful music and we even provide a really good supper after the concert,’ Heather told me.
